Eeek! Why I Love Pinterest!

Okay, this probably isn’t actually related to anything I said or did
but remember on Tuesday when I shared a couple of scriptures that gave me an extra boost?
Oh, sure you do. I was talking about that Scripture a Day widget for android?

Anyway, in that post I mentioned this terrific scripture from D&C 64:33:

Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great.

Love that scripture! Anyway, today I was browsing Pinterest, and I found a super cute printable from Ryan’s LDS Quotes. The first thing I noticed was the temple on top of the printable (love!), then I noticed it was the scripture above (double love!), then I noticed it was posted on his blog the day after I posted the scripture on my blog (love more than ice cream!).
{It’s been a long day, please don’t mention the fact that he also could have the Scripture A Day widget. I refuse to believe that.}

Do something small today. You’ll do great!

How much do you love that printable??
I’m thinking this one needs to be framed in my homeschool room, asap.
Don’t forget to check out Ryan’s blog, he has tons of free LDS printables!

Hmm… I think I need to print a mini version to fit in my scriptures as well!

    Hello Slacker Mom,

I’m Ryan of “Ryan’s LDS Quotes”. Occasionally I take a look at my Google Analytics to see where people are coming from. You’re my #3 source of hits in the past two days, so I had to drop by your site and say hi.

I don’t have the Android app, and didn’t know that D&C 64:33 was so recently featured, but I’m glad you found my design at just the right time.

The designs on my site originally started out as black and white designs I made for our church bulletin (one of my callings in my ward). My brother saw a few and asked why I wasn’t putting them online for a wider audience. It did seem to make sense. After all, once Sunday is over, most just end up in the trash. So, I started a tumblr account, colorized a few and put them up. As time went on, I found I was making some just for the fun of putting them on tumblr. Later, I discovered Pinterest and also put links there. It’s been fun seeing who re-posts, shares and links, and from where.

    Again, thanks for the mention.

P.S. If you don’t mind, I’ve provided a link to a book of my scripture designs available on Amazon. I’m working on another book of Ward Bulletin Cover Originals that should be ready by spring.

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so significantly about this, like you wrote the book in it or sotenhimg. I think which you can do with a couple of pics to drive the message home a little bit, but other than that, this really is outstanding blog. A amazing read. I will certainly be back.

Love it. Thanks (and thanks to Ryan as well)! Also, just had to say I downloaded the widget a couple days ago, and I’m so happy you mentioned it on your blog. I had no idea it was out there, and it is just what I needed lately. Thanks! I love having a scripture waiting on my phone every day.
