Book of Mormon Reading Calendars {Free Printable!}

Scripture Schedule

This year I’ve made a resolution commitment to read the Book of Mormon with my family, along with my commitment to do Family Home Evening all year. I am following along a chart I found at Sugardoodle, breaking the Book of Mormon into 15 to 20 verse chunks throughout the course of 365 days.

I’m kind of a freak though, and do better about not letting my kids destroy things that aren’t cute. So obviously, I had to come up with a cute chart, right? I made up a calendar for each month and they are so much cuter. Well. I think so anyway. :)

Also, because I have issues with losing things, and wasting paper, I shrank it down so I fit six on one page. Believe me, if I thought it was legible to fit 12 on one page, I would have done it. No wait, it was actually that my printer didn’t have a 12-to-a-page setting, and I was too lazy to mess with out. Legible shmegible. So if you’re all about the environment and junk, you can do it that way. Print it two-sided if you can figure it out you like that.

Okay, I was going to be all awesome and give you a version with the calendars on two pages rather than twelve, but my pdf program gave a very polite, “No thank you.” So to do this, when you press print, click printer preferences (or whatever it says on your printer program) and set it to print 6 to a page. Or print 2 to a page, or hey, if your printer is really cool, go ahead and do 12 on a page!

    Our family goal is FHE every week for 2012. My personal goal is to finish the Book of Mormon by my due date (baby #3 is due March 15th) I slacked off really bad at the Book of Mormon challenge by the end of 2011 (from September-December 31 I only got to 2 Nephi 23…) so my goal is to go from 2 Nephi 23 to the end by the time the baby gets here. And when he is overdue (which he will be) my goal is to read from 1 Nephi 1 to 2 Nephi 22.

    Helps keep my mind off of being twenty-seven months pregnant ;)

    Um.Ya. Will you marry me? I know we are like not that kind of Momo’s anymore,and sister’s wives is creepy… but you have made my life a little easier and a little less guilt ridden :)… I have two very busy boys, (6 & 3), im going to school full time, living on a husband imposed budget, (he wants to having savings for this thing called “retirement”), and trying to make sure my kids don’t end up delinquents as teenagers. I started using your AMAZING FHE lessons at the beginning of January, and I already feel like a better mom actually having FHE. Anyhow, I am so excited about the Book of Mormon reading schedule. Thank you for all you do! :D

    Thanks you for making this available. I needed to find this. The way you have it laid out makes it more doable that I thought it was. And you’ve given me the motivation I need to get my family doing what we need to be doing. A new years resolution that is do able. Thanks so much!

    • I’m so glad you like this. This is the one printable on my blog I use RELIGIOUSLY. (Everything else comes and goes.) I am in absolute shock that my family is reading THIRD NEPHI. As kids, we never got past Alma. Never! If I can do it, then it’s DEFINITELY doable!!!

    I found this and LOVE it but….I am doing this for the Beehives in our ward and we are wanting to start it the first week in March. Could I possibly get this in a format that can be edited?? I would appreciate it so much!! Thank you~Tammy

    Great idea! I am wanting to do this for the Valiant 10 and 11′s but only for 6 months – can I get this in a format I can edit?

    • I’m embarrassed to admit that somehow at this point, I can’t even edit it. I need to make a new one. It’s on a long list of things to do for me! One thing I would recommend is just doing two each night. You could use different colored highlighters to highlight each night. I know that’s not what you were hoping for, but I will try to get working on that soon!
