Temple: I’m Going There {Soon}

Going to the Temple

My husband and I have been married four years, five months, and twenty nine days.

{Yes, fingers were involved in calculating that.}

After a lot of patient waiting (and less patiently, on my part), my husband and I got word that we will finally reach our dream-

we will be sealed together for eternity in the temple.

And even better?

We get to be sealed to these beautiful girls:

S. Nicole

P. Abigail.

Though it’s been frustrating at times (it seriously took my husband a year to write his letter), scary at others (another year+ to contact the ex), and laughably difficult at times (we have had three bishops through this process and started over each time), my husband has reminded me over and over that this is the Lord’s timetable. The ex, though contacted by our bishop, wasn’t the one pulling the shots this time around. The bishop, though brand-spankin’-new, wasn’t left to figure out the details of a sealing clearance without help. The Lord was in charge here. The First Presidency reviewed Gary’s letter, the bishop’s letter, and the stake president’s letter. Personally.

Then they sent us a letter.

We’re going to the temple, baby.

    What wonderful news! Praying for you as you get there! I remember being sealed to my parents when I was 11 or 12 (converts to the church). It was amazing. And since then I’ve been married in the temple and it just brings so many blessing to a family.

        I recently re-discovered my first all foam board no fins fron the 60s That borguht back many a good memory. Nick you are very correct surfing was a very social event in the 70s you new just about every one, we would never lock our cars and nothing ever went missing. Then it was down to the Bay Inn or Travs for a few beers with your mates and to tell a few good tall tales of all the waves ridden on the weekend. Cheers Robbo

    I’ve got the chills! :) So very excited for you and your sweet family! Having just gone through the temple this month to get married myself, I saw a family go through to get sealed and I about broke down watching those children all dressed in white to be sealed together. I hope it’s a great experience for you! Congratulations!

    I am so very happy for you! It is a tribute to you that you have been so patient and diligent in seeing this process through despite all the setbacks. My husband and have endured a similar situation, but I can honestly say that being able to be sealed in the temple was just the beginning of many miracles in our lives. Sometimes the blessings come and are so appreciated after a trial of faith. Going through the process is frustrating and overwhelming sometimes. I think it is supposed to be that way so that we recognize and feel grateful for the hand of the Lord in making a way when there feels like there is no way. Congratulations!

  14. It looks as though I’ve missed a few of the congratulations but THANK YOU everyone! I’m so excited, and knowing that others are excited with me is incredibly sweet!
