Mother’s Day for Slackers

I’m a slacker in many areas of my life.

Painting my toe nails.
Cleaning toilets.
Thank you cards.

Another area I frequently slack off in is gift giving. I have good intentions almost always. But life gets in the way, and the budget is tight, so gifts tend to happen… sometimes. I mean, I give my kids gifts. Sometimes my husband gets something besides underwear (which is what he asks for every gift giving occasion.)

But beyond immediate family? I love them all, but my focus is so divided up between all the little people in my life. So if it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. I don’t beat myself up about it, too much.

Are you a slacker in the gift giving department? I totally have news for you:

And yes, I do mean the Sunday that comes after tomorrow.

Okay, I know most of you reading this are mothers, and are secretly hoping your husband is less of a slacker in the gift giving department than you are, and haven’t forgotten Mother’s Day. But what are you doing for your mom? For your mother in law? For your grandma? Hmm?

The reason I bring this up is first, to remind you. Second, I hosted a Pampered Chef party recently. Until tomorrow, you can order online under my host name. I know you’re scratching your head, wondering what to get your mom for Mother’s Day so I’ve made this really easy for you. Two words:

Gift. Card.

Oh yeah, baby. After a little research I discovered that Pampered Chef does not email you gift certificates that you can then print and gift. Which is sad, am I right? They’ll mail it out to you, or to your mother. But I still want you to get your lovely mumsy something for Sunday! So I made a little freebie for ya.

How fun! Now just click and print! Oh yeah, you’re going to want to order the Gift Certificate too. Otherwise the cute little gift card to go with it is pretty pointless, right? Click here to link to the Pampered Chef site

Here’s the thing: I’m not super excited to give out the host name, my whole name, over the internet. I’ve thought this over and here’s the deal: you’ve got to head over to my facebook page and read it on my wall post. Sound fair?

The Pampered Chef “party” ends tomorrow, May 7th, 2011. So don’t slack off (any more)!

And I can’t close this post before saying Happy Mother’s Day, to you and all the other slacker moms I know!
