Surprises of the Diaper Variety

About 20 minutes ago, Jordon brought Abigail, just up from her nap, to me.
She was poopy.
She was naked.

So I bathed the baby, put bedding in the laundry and washed the crib.

Have I mentioned she sleeps in a pack ‘n’ play? Unfortunately, I’ve never gotten around to getting one of those little sheets for it.

In the freezing snow, I took the P’n’P mattress out, and hosed it down. Then I cleaned it with carpet cleaner, and hosed it down again. Then I used the Shop Vac to vacuum up approximately 13,000 gallons of water the mattress miraculously held.

A benefit of children is that they often surprise you into doing unplanned deep cleaning.

Do you know how long that mattress is going to take to dry in this weather?
(For the record, it is currently drip drying in the tub.)

Do you know how long my night is going to be considering:
she doesn’t have another place to sleep?

These are things for you to think about while I go into my room, lock the door, and eat chocolate.

Yeah, lesson totally learned. Also learned: don't put her in bed with just a diaper!!

Did it just fall off, or did she pull it off?

Nicole, I believe she pulled it off. It's a cloth diaper with velcro so I should have known better but I was tired of her whining. Lol.
